The Officers’ association repeated its demand for the creation of a district regulatory force to ensure strict implementation of government regulations and to provide adequate security to officers working in challenging law and order situations.
It is high time the government should take immediate steps to enhance security arrangements for officers working in volatile areas like North Waziristan. This can include providing well-trained security personnel and armored vehicles.
As demanded by the officers’ association, creating a dedicated regulatory force in the district can help ensure the proper implementation of government regulations and maintain law and order effectively.
Greater responsibility is on intelligence set-ups to enhance intelligence gathering and surveillance capabilities which are crucial in identifying potential threats and preventing such attacks.
Last but not least, community engagement can be a good measure to control such incidents. Engagement with local communities to foster cooperation and gather information can aid in maintaining security and preventing such attacks in the future.
