The attack started with a VBIED that struck the gate of the HQ. The assailants entered the HQ and intense exchange of fire ensued.
The suicide bombers also blew them inside the building. Resultantly, a portion of the buildings of the Khadi complex has been damaged.
It was a well planned attack as the TTP deployed its snipers on the rooftops of the houses in Zirki village at night. They kept sniping at the relief force. However, the relief force has been successful to enter the Khadi complex.

According to initial reports the Gul Bahadar Group of TTP launched this attack. All the assailants are either killed or injured. The reinforcement has encircled the HQ.
TTP media is also issuing its version of reports on the social media. According to them Fidayeen (suicide bombers) attacked the army in North Waziristan. There was an attack by a truck bomb on the military fort in Tehsil Mir Ali of North Waziristan, after which the Istishaadi Mujahideen immediately entered the fort and a fierce battle is still going on. Hamza Istishadi Force and Jaish Umari’s Istishadi associates have participated in the attack. It is issued by Jaish Farsan Muhammad Farsan Al-Alam Media. Spokesperson: Nusratullah Waziristani 06 Ramadan 1445 AH. 16/March/2023.

The terrorists are reportedly getting support from across the border from Afghanistan. Despite Pakistan’s repeated protests the Afghan Taliban Government has not stopped TTP from using its soil to attack inside Pakistan. However, due to sustained efforts of LEAs there has been sharp decline in the terrorist attacks during the last fortnight.
