    OVERALL SECURITY ENVIRONMENT.

    The security environment across Khyber KP remains highly fragile, fluid and unpredictable, with militant networks demonstrating an expanding geographical footprint. While southern districts such as Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Tank, D.I. Khan and the former tribal districts remain major pressure points, recent incidents indicate continued attempts by militants to probe relatively stable areas of Malakand and other northern districts.
