BALOCHISTAN
- Unknown armed men, as learned through unconfirmed sources, kidnapped six Levies Force personnel along with their weapons after attacking a check post. The incident reportedly occurred near the construction site of Gandari Dam in Reno Zarin jungle area along the Kharan-Noshki highway, Quetta (30.11.24).
- Two Coast Guard personnel were injured in a remote-controlled IED blast when their vehicle passed through Bagawan Chowk in Jiwani coastal town, Gwadar district (30.11.24).
- A policeman was injured in an IED blast near a security checkpoint in Qila Abdullah town (1.12.24).
- Two security forces personnel were injured in an armed attack by unknown gunmen at their camp near a bus terminal in Noshki (2.12.24).
- The remains of two individuals, identified as Abid Hussain Umrani and Mast Khan Lotani, missing for the past eight years, were found by the roadside in Ghazan Kocho area of Zehra tehsil, Khuzdar district (2.12.24).
- Police recovered two hand grenades, a magnetic IED, and a remote control hidden in bushes in Pishukan area of Gwadar (2.12.24).

- Security forces killed five militants and injured nine others in an IBO in Bakkakhel area, Bannu district (1.12.24).
- Three militants were killed and two others apprehended during an IBO in Shagai area, Khyber district. Captain Muhammad Zohaib-ud-Din and Sepoy Iftikhar Hussain embraced martyrdom during the operation (1.12.24).

- Security forces killed three terrorists in Thall area of Hangu district. During the operation, six soldiers embraced martyrdom, including Naib Subedar Muhammad Khalid, Havaldar Jadid, Lance Naik Shaheedur Rehman Ali, Sepoy Saifullah, Sepoy Wiltat Hussain, and Sepoy Nizamuddin (7.12.24).

PUNJAB
- A former district council member, Sakina of Nizampura village, Kasur district, set herself ablaze in protest after being denied a meeting with her detained brother at Gandapur Police Station. She was shifted to the hospital in critical condition (1.12.24).
- Police repelled an attack on Chapri Police Station near the Punjab-KPK border, Isakhel tehsil, Mianwali district, killing four out of 20 heavily armed terrorists (1.12.24).
- CTD police in Lahore arrested 11 militants affiliated with proscribed organizations during raids across Punjab. The suspects were identified as Zubair Alam, Abubakar, Fida Hussain, Fahad Salem, Saifullah, Naseer, Israr, Haji Shah, and Abdullah (1.12.24).
- The FIA arrested Faisal Shahzad, a human trafficking suspect, from Daska, Sialkot. He was allegedly linked to the Libyan boat sinking incident that occurred on 13 March (6.12.24).
- Three individuals driving a sugarcane-laden tractor trolley were reportedly kidnapped by dacoits in the Kacha area, Rahim Yar Khan district (9.12.24).
- The body of a 13-year-old boy, Muhammad Hassan, who was kidnapped for ransom, was recovered from a forest canal in Changa Manga, Kasur district (11.12.24).
SINDH
- A lawyer, Noor Muhammad @ Ali Mangi, was shot dead, and a revenue clerk was injured in a targeted attack by gangsters on motorcycles along the Indus Highway, Ghotki district (6.12.24).
- Police recovered arms and ammunition during raids in Kandhkot-Kashmore and Jacobabad districts. The recovered items included 12,000 bullets, G-3 rifles, SMGs, an M4 rifle, pistols, RPG rounds, mortar shells, grenades, and AK-47 bullets. Suspected arms smugglers were arrested (8 and 12.12.24).
- Lance Naik Adnan Abbasi was martyred in a targeted attack while traveling with his family on a motorcycle near Mariyam Masjid, Admjee Nagar, Karachi. Investigations are ongoing to determine the motive (10.12.24).
- The Jamiat-i-Ahmadiyya condemned the killing of Amir Hassan Mirarrani by armed motorcyclists in Fazal Bhambro area, Naukot, Mirpur Khas district. Police investigations are underway (12.12.24).
DEFENCE AND SECURITY
- Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir visited troops participating in a field training exercise near Narowal and Sialkot districts. The exercise aimed to enhance professional skills and battlefield readiness to address emerging operational challenges. Integrated fire and maneuver operations were conducted by various units, including Armour, Infantry, Artillery, Air Defence, and Army Aviation. The COAS commended the operational preparedness and morale of the troops (3.12.24).
- 84th Formation Commanders’ Conference was held at GHQ, Rawalpindi, chaired by the COAS. The forum paid tribute to martyrs and reviewed the prevailing internal and external security environment. It reaffirmed the Army’s resolve to continue counter-terrorism operations, neutralizing terrorists and their facilitators. The conference condemned malicious propaganda following lawful deployment of Army personnel in Islamabad for the security of key government buildings. The forum also emphasized the need for stringent laws to counter fake news and misinformation (5.12.24).
- Pakistan-China Joint Counter-Terrorism Exercise “Warrior-VIII” was conducted from 19 November to 11 December. The Distinguished Visitor’s Day (DVD) ceremony was attended by Commander Rawalpindi Corps Lt Gen Shahid Imtiaz and Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan at Tilla Field Firing Range (11.12.24).
- Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) successfully rescued 12 crew members from a sinking Indian cargo ship in the deep sea following a request from Indian authorities. This reflects Pakistan’s commitment to maritime safety and humanitarian operations (5.12.24).
- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, addressing the closing session of the 7th National Maritime Security Workshop at the Navy War College, Lahore, lauded Pakistan Navy’s role in safeguarding maritime boundaries. He emphasized the significance of Gwadar Port for regional trade and connectivity under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and called for streamlining port operations (7.12.24).

- Weekly Foreign Office Press Briefing:

AFGHANISTAN

INDIA
- Tourism in Strategic Border Areas: Indian COAS General Upendra Dwivedi announced plans to open strategic Himalayan regions, including Siachen, Kargil, and Galwan Valley, for tourism. Critics highlighted the security risks, especially near disputed borders with China and Pakistan. India is also fortifying its Line of Control (LOC) with Pakistan using AI, smart fencing, and drone surveillance (1.12.24).

IRAN / MIDDLE EAST
